Drafted by the NBA’s New York Knicks upon graduating Cornell University (Class of ’85), “Kenny’s” background as professional basketball player proved to be integral when, in 1989 he first pursued a career as a professional floor trader. In 1994, Kenny established a market-making business that expanded to 15 traders with a presence on three different major exchanges.
In 2003, Kenny leveraged his prop trading skills to institutional sales/trading, and has successfully supported the needs of leading buy side firms and sell side traders, while concurrently mentoring aspiring traders on option theory and strategy. Kenny has been with WallachBeth Capital since the firm’s inception. He holds the FINRA Series 4, 7, 24, 55, and 63 licenses.
A native of South Africa, Faan graduated from the University of Pretoria (’01) where he majored in Sports Management. Soon thereafter, Faan gravitated to the financial markets industry, and moved to the US to pursue a career in 2006, when he was recruited by ICAP, a leading inter-dealer broker, where Faan served as an equity derivatives sales/trader. In 2007, Cantor Fitzgerald’s Cantor Equity Capital Markets recruited Faan to further leverage established institutional relationships, during which time Faan was recognized for his role as a “top producer”, and played an integral role in helping to administer the dissolution of a global investment bank’s derivative holdings in the course of the bank’s bankruptcy proceedings.
Faan joined WallachBeth Capital in June 2009. He is an essential member of the WallachBeth Option Desk and provides a vital role coordinating inquiries between the Option Desk, the Delta One Desk and equity cash desk(s). He holds the FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses.
A veteran trading floor professional since 1987, Tom’s career has extended from the New York Mercantile Exchange to the American Stock Exchange. From 1990-1995, Tom was a trader for Timber Hill Group, and from 1996 thru 2008, he had been recruited by three different exchange-based brokerage enterprises to manage and execute equity option orders
